This strange looking dog (?) was killed close to Batson Church on Batson Mountain in Johnson County, Arkansas earlier this month. Do you know what it is?

I went camping on batson mountain this past weekend(9/10/06) and there was some kind of strange creature running around the campsite. It seems to me that it could be a cross between a kangaroo and a hyena because it stands on it’s back legs and it has the facial features of a hyena. I am going camping there again this weekend and if I see the creature I will take pictures and post them here.

My great uncle shot two of these things year before last in his barn. And there have been several killed in Texas, close to San Antonio. They called it a chupacabra. These are not some mangy coyote, but a new or mutated species. I saw one sitting on the side of the road where I live, which is Holly Springs, MS. How can so many “dogs” look the same and have the same gross features. Scientists need to put attention to these things. Look up chupacabra killed in Texas to see pictures of the ones they killed.

Has anyone checked zoos to see if any animals had been missing. Or how about a person in the vacinity that keeps exotic animals. whatever the picture is of, the animals appears near starving.

if i no corectly that srange dog is my unckles dog hes dog and hem live ina farm verry neer that place .the dog went missing around 11:00 that night he gat acall about hes dog being found near an old boot [ in the middle of nowhere] well I am pretty sure that is his dog your friend Sam Derf

Looks like one of them little ugly thin hairless dogs to me that they show on the worlds uglest dog show. There has been some with skin proublems, maybe some got lose and ajusted to living out side.

What do you mean(hayley/Cody) its amazing to find “creatures” like these not brought to attention. Seeing as how there is a fungus about its face its good the K9 was found dead hopefully a scientist had a chance to examine it. Its very interesting. Chupacabra? maybe. awsome yes
